Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgeon
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, School of Medicine and Public Health at the University of Wisconsin-Madison seeks qualified applicants to join our team as a full-time Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgeon. Care for patients alongside talented colleagues in our robust, multidisciplinary Women's Pelvic Wellness Clinic!
Clinical responsibilities include participating in the care of urogynecology patients at the UW Hospital and Clinics and Meriter Hospital, including full-time call for in-patient female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery consults and service. The incumbent will participate in opportunities for community service at the department, school, and institution levels appropriate to the faculty rank.
The faculty member will be an active participant in the clinical, research, and academic service in the Division of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery in the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Academic responsibilities include participation in teaching programs related to medical students, residents and fellows, including responsibilities in the simulation lab developing advanced skills and metrics for residents. The candidate is also expected to oversee the training of residents in the operating room, clinic, and inpatient unit and will also participate in the training of department fellows.
The successful applicant will participate in administrative and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health. An essential part of these duties will be working in a collegial relationship with other faculty members.
For appointment to the CHS track: Duties will be approximately 70% clinical and 30% academic, including teaching and research.
For appointment to the Clinician Teacher (CT) track: Duties will be approximately 90% clinical and 10% academic with a focus on teaching.

The successful candidate will be an active participant in the busy clinical, research, and academic service in the Division of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery. We seek a physician with outstanding vaginal and laparoscopic or robotic urogynecologic surgery skills and a passion for imparting those skills to medical students, residents, and fellows in clinical and simulation settings. The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology also offers robust infrastructure and support for research projects and studies, as well as quality and outcome programs.
Required
Terminal Degree
MD or DO; BC/BE in Obstetrics and Gynecology is required.
BC/BE in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery is required.
Wisconsin Licensing eligibility
Completed four-year approved/accredited residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Board certified or eligible.
Completed three-year approved/accredited fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery.
Preferred candidate will be an outstanding vaginal and laparoscopic or robotic urogynecologic surgeon with interest in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, collaborating with our multi-disciplinary team at the Women's Pelvic Wellness Program, and participating in urogynecologic research.
Candidates for Associate Professor (CHS) or Professor (CHS) must meet criteria for appointment at rank per UW School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for appointment and promotion on the CHS track.
Candidates for Clinical Associate Professor or Clinical Professor must meet criteria for appointment at rank per UW School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for appointment and promotion on the Clinician Teacher track.
