Job Summary
Manage a portfolio of current and prospective donors for the Tulsa Community College Foundation while meeting expected annual engagement revenue and stewardship targets by following the fundraising cycle of identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. With institutional knowledge, demonstrate to donors the value of TCC's mission and the impact of the TCC Foundation on the community. The Development Officer is expected to write grant applications and uphold grant guidelines with Faculty and Staff on College projects and programs. The role also requires creating fundraising appeals and organizing campaigns in order to meet annual fundraising goals.
This is a Safety Sensitive position pursuant to Oklahoma Statute OKLA. STAT. tit. 63, 427.8 (2020).
Essential Duties
Meet annual engagement revenue targets by securing renewable gifts, identifying new prospective donors, cultivating existing donor relationships for the purpose of solicitation, and following best practices of donor stewardship.
Assist in designing strategies to engage various constituent groups of alumni, corporations, foundations, trustees, students, faculty, staff, retirees and other constituents for solicitation.
Responsible for creating and leading the annual employee giving campaign, 'Believe in TCC'.
Identify key areas for private funding and support. Works with College and Foundation staff to solicit funds.
Assist in identification and solicitation of potential planned giving prospects.
Assist in the development and implementation of Foundation fundraising events.
Responsible for preparing timely donor reports.
Responsible for submitting timely contact reports in Raiser's Edge.
Support the work of the TCC Foundation Board of Directors and all affiliate committees.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Sales and Marketing, Human Relations, Public Relations, Public Administration or related field.
3 years of relevant experience, including fundraising, sales, or comparable experience in positions demonstrating successful achievement of engagement, revenue support, and stewardship of targeted audiences.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written communication skills.
Organizational skills with a strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills, decision-making skills, initiative, and flexibility.
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to lift up materials up to 20 pounds (boxes of paper, backdrop, donor packets, etc.
Experience with Raiser's Edge or comparable customer relationship management software and Microsoft Office 365.
CFRE (Certified Fund Raising Executive).
