Directs Company safety program to ensure a culture built on a safe, healthy, and accident-free work environment while maintaining a standard of excellence in all projects and work products.

Requirements
Live reasonably close to Seward, NE, as this position will be an office position when not traveling. There is schedule flexibility when in the office. Our hours are 8-5.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Champions safety for every position across the organization.
- Performs an investigation of all near misses, accidents, violations, and injuries immediately upon notification and is onsite within 24 hours of incident.
- Reports findings to executive staff within 48 hours of incident and to all CCS Group employees within 72 hours. Compiles and submits ACA and accident reports required by regulatory
- Enforces CCS Group safety protocols; initiates disciplinary actions if necessary for any employee who fails to adhere to those safety protocols.
- Instructs new hire employee safety orientation prior to an employee commencing work on the job site; familiarizes new employees with PPE and proper use of fall protection and Company-specific specialized equipment.
- Performs regular jobsite inspections to detect existing or potential accident and health hazards, ensures proper use and maintenance of equipment, determines corrective or preventative measures where indicated, follows up to ensure measures have been implemented.
- Creates formal reports using Safety Reports™ software and reports jobsite visit findings with executive staff and respective superintendent.
- Plans and implements safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Mine Safety Health Administration (MSHA) rules and regulations.
- Attends pre-job meetings, participates in initial walkthrough of a new project, completes any specific jobsite required safety training, identifies any hazards or risks with contracted project, meets with onsite safety leader to understand local safety procedures and hazards, and establishes site-specific safety plan and training.
- Organizes the annual Safety Summit.
- Observes and understands all general job duties associated with work performed to effectively establish Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), inspects workmanship conforms to Company specifications and customer expectations, communicates any suggestions for improvement with project superintendent.
- Manages PPE min/max inventory system and provides supplies to superintendents as requested.
- Facilitates pre-employment, quarterly random, reasonable suspicion, and/or post-accident drug and alcohol testing.
- Reviews daily project reports, identifies possible safety concerns or work quality deficiencies, and discusses solutions with Operations Director and superintendents.
- Contacts local fire departments and hospitals near jobsites to discuss the risks related to the work being performed and the possible ensuing injuries which could require medical care.
- Maintains SDS folders for all materials currently being used onsite and for any additional materials that may be delivered to the jobsite.
- Follows the purchase order policy when ordering safety supplies; maintains approval records and receipts.
- Represents the organization in community or industry-related safety groups and programs.
- Manages maintenance, organization, and cleanliness of the shop and all equipment stored in the shop.
- Researches all construction materials used by the Company, understands manufacturer instructions and product uses and limitations, and offers suggestions to improve construction methods in order to enhance the quality of work being produced.
- Develops CCS Safety Committee utilizing CCS employees and holds quarterly safety meetings.
- Oversees employee development and training opportunities and provides support to field employees regarding troubleshooting equipment, materials, procedures, work quality, or safety concerns.
- Delivers materials, equipment, and parts to jobsites as needed.
- Completes all other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as onsite project safety rules, OSHA and MSHA regulations, customer bids and contracts, operating and maintenance instructions, engineered project drawings, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports, correspondence, and proposals.
- Ability to speak effectively individually or in group settings.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to solve problems proactively.
- Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet software, safety-specific software, construction-related programs, and the Internet.
- Knowledge of OSHA and MSHA standards and federal/state/local safety regulations.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish languages preferred.

- Valid Driver's License
- OSHA 10, OSHA 30, and OSHA 500 certifications
- MSHA certification
- Various equipment operation certifications
- ACI Wet Mix Vertical Nozzleman certification
- Certified Safety Professional designation preferred
